I have some good news. Yesterday, we took the first step towards creating a new model for Russias political system. On Monday morning, a large action team convened in Moscow, including over 60 representatives from all across Russia who had supported me during my presidential campaign.

We all knew it would happen. The election of March 4 brought with it a new political cycle but no change in government. We have changed but the authorities remain the same. The elections left a divided society behind them. By playing the card of internal threat, the government divided the country into two camps, and it continues to drive in the wedge. This must not continue. Civil society in Russia simply must show maturity and begin to rebuild its own inner confidence and solidarity.
